Where Does the Time Go?

I can't believe it is almost October.  Things have really changed in the Rubbing Elbows world.  The services part of the company has grown to include massage, Healing Touch for Animals and a touch of acupressure.  These modalities are used to give your animal the best in holistic care.  On the product side, over the summer, natural pet products were added along with the essential oil website.

This month, I am happy to announce the addition of pet foods and treats for dogs and cats that are formulated by the holistic veterinarian, Dr. Jane Bicks.  The foods and treats are made from high quality food sources and are guaranteed fresh.  They contain no corn, wheat or soy which are generally just fillers in other dogs foods.  Many of the allergies we see in our animals are from their foods that contain these fillers.  Although this food may sound expensive, you would be surprised to know that the prices beat many store brands and are very competitive to the premium brands.  The new site can be viewed at:

Now, Rubbing Elbows can provide just about everything your dog or cat needs for a healthy, happy life.   So for now, enjoy the fall and its beauty.

Happy 4th of July

I can't believe that it's July 4th already!  I'm hoping everyone is enjoying the summer.  There's lots to update you on regarding Rubbing Elbows.  The most exciting thing is the soon to be released video from @CinematicEye.  Bill has been working hard and has gotten to know why animals are so different to work with.  I can't wait to see it and be able to post it.

Next, Rubbing Elbows is now a Shure Pets independent distributor.  This means we now carry pet products that are 100% natural, all organic and MADE in the USA.  There are also unique animal themed gifts for the animal lovers too.  The company is a direct marketing company and 'Pupperware' parties are a part of it, but you can go directly to my site and order - no party necessary.  Check it out at:

http://www.RubbingElbowsToo.com.

Also, with this site, I can hold fundraisers for your organization!  The pet industry is one of the biggest growing sectors of the economy, even in these times.  This is a wonderful way to raise funds for animal shelters, rescues and the like, but it would work equally well for any organization including schools and churches.

Lastly, I now have a site where you can directly order Young Living Essential Oils and other products.  There are several pet specific products and I would be happy to help you with oils selections for your pets and you.  You can explore that site at:

Enjoy the day and remember the sacrifices that were made to make this great country.  Enjoy the summer!

A New Year Begins

Take time to reflect . . . .

Wow, what a year!  Where has 2010 gone!

2010 has been a year of adventure and growth for Rubbing Elbows.  At this time of year it is always a good time to reflect on the past and look toward the future.  It was a great year.  During the past year, Healing Touch for Animals, Levels, I, II and III, and Intro to Acupressure  were completed.  Continued training will be the focus of 2011 and the future - there is always something new to learn.

Thanks everyone for making this page so successful.  Clients, business associates, the massage community (animal and human), friends and folks interested in the welfare of their furry animal family have combined to make this page a place to meet and share our love for our extended 'family'.  As we begin the new year, I would be happy to hear what you think and what you want to know more about.

As the old year ends and the new year begins, take stock of your blessings and look forward to the possibilities of the new year.  Love to you all!

The Road to Massage

Coincidence?  I do not believe in it.  More and more I find that everything that I experienced in life was to prepare me for my role as an animal massage therapist.

My love for animals is the building block, next several accidents that caused physical problems gave me personal experience with healing.  Chiropractic, massage and acupressure techniques used on me were short of miraculous after spending 25 years compensating for neck injuries.  Western doctors told me to learn to live with it.  Now I know, there is no reason to live with pain and lack of mobility.

Research regarding my horse, Roy's, club foot led me to massage for horses - and what a difference it made in his life.  Massage for canines was then an easy addition, as my dog Max has mild hip dysplasia and is now in his senior years.  In my quest to learn about 'alternative therapies',  Animal Acupressure was explored.  Energy medicine and 'Healing Touch' came next and my learning continues.

Now I'm able to share my experience with these different modalities with you.  I hope you enjoy the journey!
